I have a tractor with a front end loader, box blade and brush hog. If I have enough advance notice I would be glad to help with your project. I don't know how far it is from any construction projects. Sometimes you can let them dump dirt for a lot cheaper than they are paying and have your berm material. Just need to specify no rock or concrete in the mix.

Also contact the county. They are always cleaning out ditches, and want places to get rid of the dirt without having to take it very far. I just got 120 semi loads of dirt delivered to one of my wheat fields by the county. The neighbor got the same. They cleaned out 3 miles of ditch.

$1500 and counting. Who else wants in? Natural terrain 3 gun matches near El Reno should draw 50-100 shooters. At $20-30/shooter payback will be less than a year.

I posted this same business idea over on Enos and everybody thought I was nuts even at $40 a head. We already own 450 acres that is very similar to thunder valley at rockcastle. I was willing to sink $6k of my own money into targets. There are already natural berms so minimal dirt work would be necessary. Still no go.

The trick is having shooters around to shoot. Here in OK we have plenty of shooters but no matches so we see all willing to help the cause to get the matches going again.

after personally helping setup and run a non profit for a few years...I think you'll be deserving some "profit" if it comes after you do all the hard work to put it together FeeGee. There's always a ton of stuff to do, even if it's little stuff..but it never really stops either.

TP's gets my vote to be the "home office" no matter which way you go

LLC filing as an S-corp is a good option, but I can't legally provide tax advise

Yea I don't think I am going the non profit route. Like I said before as soon a JT gets back and we get a brush hog, and weld up some rebar clay holders we can have a natural terrain shotgun match. If anyone would be interested??

I wouldn't waste the time getting a nonprofit status. I would just make sure there is never a "profit". Raise the rent on yourself or buy more targets with any profit.
