First my hard drive crashed, and Dell sent the wrong replacement.
So after a week I got the correct one, and now my router died.
What is the latest and greatest out there?

More info please. Definition of best?

Price range? Popularity? Reliability? Configurable options? Ease of setup? Wired/wireless(strength/speed/security)? Avg amt of data transferring between local users?

I went to staples, and they actually had a lady there that knew her computer stuff really well, so she questioned me about what all I do on the computer. (Left out the looking at porn part)
Ended up with a cisco valet plus. Seems to be working pretty good now:D

Pretty standard - 4 port gig e/ wireless n - similar to the linksys wrt160n/e1000, but white Looks like it is only 85 online (no USB ports tho - cool only if you want to share a USB device on the network.

Linksys E3000 is hard to beat for home use. They work very well...
This is what I have at the house. No big complaints, but sometimes I lose the ability to connect my macbook and iphones which requires me to unplug the router and modem for a few min. Doesn't make any sense to me because my iMac has never lost connection (knock on wood).

If you can find one, Linksys wrt54g, then install dd-wrt firmware. Lets you boost the wireless signal and other settings, makes a $40 router act like a $300 router.

Proud MAC owners here also and we have never had any problems with the E3000 . That is puzzling how your devices drop, the only problems we ever have are because the ISP we use has what can be prolonged disruptions in our service.
