Best place to take CWP class in Greenville?

I took mine on Saturday at Allen Arms with Mike Sexton. He made the class interesting the whole time. I recommend him.

Yeah it was more than most places, but I chose it because they came recommended from family members, and you get a 1-year range membership.

Thanks Lupin, wasn't aware PSA had started cwp classes at their Greenville location.
Yeah it wasn't announced well IMO.

I prepaid during their grand opening as a special, which apparently didn't have to because it's the same price now as it was under the opening special. Then they started them up without bothering to tell anyone to check psadefense.com for class dates.

Ah well, hard to beat 50 bucks for a cwp class.

Well, I signed up for a CWP class on March 1st with The Gun Shop in Simpsonville. Would've liked to take it at PSA but all their classes are full for a while & I'd like to have my permit before our first child is born in July. Thanks for the recommendations, fellas.

If you are price shopping make sure to ask what is NOT included. Sometimes the low prices are for the class itself and does not include the $50 application fee to SLED or possibly the cost of fingerprints. If you have to go out and provide your own fingerprint card, factor in the cost of the time and hassle.

Shea Kim taught the class I took and did a great job. I work with Shea's husband so there's your "full disclosure". Her company is Definite Defense; posted price is $150 but I'm pretty sure that is all inclusive.

Scott and Amy Wilson are NRA instructors who offer CWP classes, I believe in the Powdersville area. The Wilsons shoot Wild Bunch matches with me and they are good folks who actually SHOOT. Too many "gun people" just shoot the bull. Their company is Concealed Carry and More. I asked about classes recently because my wife is thinking of taking a class; they quoted $70 which includes a Subway lunch and the fingerprinting. Add the $50 SLED fee and it looks like a total cost of $120.

I'm sure there are lots of good instructors out there. The ones I listed are people I know and like.

Does anybody know of a place that offers classes during the day not on a weekend? Seems everybody does Saturdays or breaks it up into 2 evening courses which just don't work well for me.

I'd wait to get my cwp if I felt that they would actually push this bill through, but I don't see that happening unfortunately. I see people all the time saying constitutional carry will mean all these bad things and blah blah blah but I say to them, look at VA for example. I have family up there and they're an OPEN CARRY state. You hardly ever see bad things involving guns there, unless it's some CRIMINAL who ILLEGALLY has the gun anyway. You just can't reach some people though...
