Hey Everyone, I'm building my 1st PCC gun. I'm getting a glock lower and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which mags are the best and most reliable? Glock factory mags, ETS, SGMT, etc?

Thanks!

Using it for USPSA? Try a Glock 33 rd with Dawson Precision +5 basepad. That will give you 36 rds + 1 in the chamber to start.

For reloads, a 17 rd Glock mag with a Dawson +5 basepad (gives you 22 rds). The basepad gives me a little more real estate to grab for smoother reloads.

Most seem to rely on Glock magazines for matches. Some use less expensive ETS mags for practice.

Taylor freelance has the big dog daddy base pads for Glock mags right now. Trust me you'll want some. The 35-36 round mags ain't enough for USPSA. I reload into my 22 round limited or 28 round open mags. Of course I have a stack of 36 round mags too because you never know.

The Magpul Glock mags work great too, and are awesome for mag changes. We used them yesterday at ITPSC.

Do extended base pads exist for those?

You can buy 140mm mags for 9mm that hold a lot of rounds, 23ish. Not enough for one mag to clean a stage, but they are really great for mag changes. Evryone wants one huge mag. Being good at mag changes fits right in with classifiers, so it makes sense to do them during a stage to keep your chops built up. No big deal. No one is going to win any prizes because they didn't do a mag change. That elephant dung is dumb.

That's crazy! $30 mag... $60 for the extension.

When you're the only one making them you can get whatever people will pay. They have been sold out more often then available. Hell I have like 8 of them. I hate reloading mags during a club match. It keeps me from resetting steel which I love doing.

You sure about that? Let's hope you aren't running neck and neck with someone at a major and they end up winning because of the .75 second mag change you had to make.

Mag changes are gay. they are really GAY in PCC.
That's like only using a 30 round .223 mag on a 32 round course of fire. Grab a 45 and shoot until your happy.
And don't be gay!
