I need to put together a rig to shoot singlestack. I've been using CR speed pouches for years, but since I'll need 4-5 mags on my belt for singlestack, I think the CR speed pouches may take up too much room. A lot of new stuff has come out since I stopped shooting a few years ago. Do you guys have any suggestions for pouches that work well in singlestack? I've been looking at the new bullet-out style ones since they look like they don't take up much belt space, but I would appreciate any suggestions, especially if you shoot(have shot) a lot of singlestack.

I used the CR speed for all the SS that I have done. The little spacer for SS mags wasn't great but it worked. Cyrwus and somebody else made don't Deleon inserts that worked better especially when u had to to a mag pickup stage where you grab 2-3 and stuff them in your pouches quick on the clock.

I now have BladeTech Pro series but haven't spent enough time with the SS versions to say I like them as much as I like my BladeTech Pro series for limited, prod and 3-gun. I'm guessing they will be good to go as they are very similar. I think optics planet sells them and I know a guy that can get you 10% off.

I Judge what class you are in by how many mags you carry..

Seriously though, Carry 5 and one in the gun to start.

I use standard Cr speed holsters but it would be nice to have a little more room on the belt.

Having shot single stack for a few months, I don't think changing mag pouches would affect 99% of the stages I have shot. Most of the time I never reach for a 4th much less a 5th mag on the belt.

I went with the DAA racers. Drill a small hole if you want to go bullets out. Haven't had any problems with them.

Thanks guys. The blade tech pouches look awesome, but those tech-lock hangers are pretty bulky. I'm wondering if I could fit 5 of them behind my hip bone without have to reach behind my back for the last couple.

Are the DAA Racers pretty compact in terms of taking up belt space?
