I had good luck with the Taylor Freelance extensions that I had borrowed. They do work with stock springs but they need to be fresh for the slide lock to work. Never had any feeding issues with them regardless of whether the slide would lock.

Taylor Freelance are much more rugged than the Arredondo ones. I prefer Dawson Precision on my Glocks but I guess they don't like you M&P guys since they don't make them for those guns yet. The one Taylor Freelance Big Stick I have is nice just too had to dissasemble at a match.

Yes that is a downside with the TF. But I will say that I ran them for probably a year and only had to clean my mags once in that time! How's that for reliability?! That's something that my new Caspian's mags won't even think about doing. One little grain of sand will lock them up tight, so if you drop one in the dirt, you ARE brushing it. No if's, and's or but's about it.

That's my only gripe with that gun. M&P's will just spoil you...
