I have both the 9mm, and the .40 cal. My wife and I love them. Yes, the grip is a little fat for the average hand, but is still quite comfortable. They are basically a sub-compact model 92. A really nice one should be in the price range of between $375, for one with one mag, but no box or papers, to around $475 or so for one with at least one extra mag, and box, etc. Some of them did have a problem with an accidental fire while using the de-cocker, but very few. We haven't had any issues with ours, other than not having enough time to shoot them as much as we like to......I'm not sure about the .40 cal., but the 9mm can also use the high cap mags from a 92FS, with a sleeve that also extends the grip length. If possible, see if you can test the weapon before you buy it, especially the de-cocker function. (Live round, chambered, pointed down range.) Hope this helps.
