old benelli sbe, at 15 years old, this gun has been to argentina a couple times, canada a couple times, every duck and dove season and a lot of trap, we think it has at least 50,000 rnds on it maybe more. Finally starting to have some stovepipes from it. Is it possible the extractor or cam pin that goes through the bolt are worn and causing this. I can see wear on the cam pin and the extractor looks really smooth to me.

I only get these with 3" steel duck loads, it will still run dove shells all day, i have probably ran a box of 3.5" duck loads as well this year with no problem.

I doubt the ejector is the problem because I got a warranty barrel 2 years ago when the rib started coming off. It is actually starting to come off again so I will be trying to get another warranty barrel in 2 weeks when duck season is over.

Anyone need anymore info I will be happy to answer all questions.

After I get the new barrel if it is still doing it may have to go on a trip to accurate ron if i cant figure it out myself....

What brand of steel 3"? I recently heard of another guy having the exact same problem. His was with 3" heavy metal. He said the same thing about light loads cycling fine, but 3" heavy metal would stovepipe.
I would assume you have cleaned the recoil spring and tube in the stock? Also, if it was a recoil spring issue, it would show up with lighter loads I would think?

Note: I am by no means an expert!
