Benefit Sporting Clay Shoot...........September 15th

I'll let the flyer tell you the specifics. This is a great shoot, will usually have between 60-80 shooters. You can shoot anytime between 9am-2pm, lunch at noon, awards and prizes at 4pm. The course is set up professsionally by a retired man from Tulsa who travels around doing this for a living(and for fun). The course will consist of 8 stations, shoot 50 rounds, set up over 40 acres of varied terrain, including canyons and ponds. He set up a running rabbit across the water's surface a couple of years ago! Not mentioned on the flyer, we will also be having a small gauge shoot on the same course, 20g 7/8oz or smaller to enter. Shoot still on for tomorrow!! Roads are muddy but drivable. Saw the course layout this afternoon and it will be a good shoot. Will be giving away free course rounds at 11,12,1300 and 1400. 580-603-0022 if have questions or need directions. Sky's were clear to the west at sunset, should be a good day tomorrow.

I saw the weather report this evening. Said winds were going to be around 10 mph, and high temps at 75 degrees.

I'm a total noob at sporting clays. Only done it once. What choke is generally recommended?

Modified works pretty well on just about all of the stages.

Good sporting clay matches can be really intimidating, challenging anybody's shotgun skills.

Turn out was great!! 82 shooters, took in over $4k at the registration table, over $9k in sponsers, and everyone got to shoot guns and eat some incredible smoked pulled pork!!. Glad you got to come out Dennis. Next years shoot will be around the same time. I'll be confirming a date this coming week. This the guy who sets up the course.
