Curious if anyone here is a member of the Belton Gun Club?

If so I would appreciate hearing your opinions/experience as I am thinking of joining.

Thanks, in advance, for your time. I appreciate it.

Have you taken an opportunity to visit the ranges and facilities? Are you primarily interested in a particular shooting discipline or in a Club that offers everything?
Do you like competition events?

The folks at BGC are very welcoming and down-to-earth, friendly regardless of your skill level, weaponry and attire! Costs are reasonable, as is the guest policy.
I've had several of my guests and friends join up without hesitation.
If you have any specific questions or interests, fire away or feel free to pm me via this site. :D

Yes, yes, and yes!

Thank you for your reply. Exactly the type of information I was hoping to hear. Signed up today and will be attending the range orientation meeting at the end of the month. I'm really looking forward to all the club has to offer, especially being only 25 minutes from my house.

Thanks again. I'll send you a PM once I get the go ahead to shoot and maybe we could meet up?

Regards,

Mike

I am not a member of the Belton Gun Club. I am a member of the Greenville Gun Club; it is four miles from my front door whereas I am about 30 minutes from the BCC, so I have a hard time justifying paying membership dues to both clubs.

I have some friends who are members of the BCC. From them I hear good things about the club. I have visited as a guest of a member and there are many things to like about the club. I like the way they have several different ranges and the general layout of the property. They have recently added clay shooting, including a sporting clays course. Very, very nice.

I am a cowboy action shooter and some friends of mine approached the BCC a couple of years ago about starting up cowboy action shooting in Belton. Those matches are open to non-members and I have been a regular attendee at the "Belton Bushwhackers" monthly cowboy action shooting matches. I have always been made welcome. Every month we have BCC members coming out to watch the matches; without exception the members I have met have been nice people.

Hope to see you at one of the cowboy matches. In fact, the zany folks who run those matches have come up with something interesting that they call "Road to Perdition"; it is a three gun match that employs a semiauto Thompson, a 1911 pistol and a Model 12 or Model '97 shotgun. Pretty nifty. I believe they are holding a Road to Perdition match on the 5th Saturday of this month.

Welcome MCA! Looking forward to meeting you and I'm also gonna check out the Cowboy Action matches!
