What are the differences between semi auto BCGs and full auto BCGs? If a full auto BCG functions properly in a semi auto, then why would anybody buy a semi auto BCG?

From my very limited ar experience full auto bcg help with feeding and felt recoil.

I'm sure the ar fellas can answer more thoroughly and correct me if I'm wrong.

I used a BCM FA bcg and it ran fine.

I'm not sure if full auto bcgs are used by 3 gunners

I was thinking about buying a couple BCM BCGs. They're $160, so very comparable in price to others on the market. Never had a failure in my BCM rifle and I've read good things about their BCGs. Just not sure why semi auto BCGs would be made or purchased if full auto BCGs function properly or even better than semi auto BCGs in semi auto rifles. I'm a mechanical person so I like to know how things work or why things are made like they are.

They have additional material on the bottom to trip the sear when the carrier goes home. They work fine in semi guns.
With the additional material GT metioned, F/A BCG's are a little bit heavier so in a SBR they tend to run alot better by slowing down the cyclic rate & reducing bolt bounce.
