Bayou bullets

I used to use those exact bullets. And also the 180 gr 40 cal. Bayou makes good moly coated bullets. Donnie used to be a forum sponsor. Many here ordered from him. Bayou grew very quickly and couldn't keep up with demand. After waiting several months for bullets, a lot of people on this forum have switched to Xtreme Bullets. Donnie makes good bullets. Hopefully he can keep up with demand now.

I have had no issues ordering from Donnie even when stuff was crazy I just ordered before I was out. I shoot the 124gr 9mm 200gr 40's and 200gr .45's good bullets that don't smoke.

Wait times got to 4-6 months 2 years ago. I like Donnie, but it was getting rediculous.

Check out our sponsor BLACK BULLETS - they actually use the SAME coating as Bayou and they ship almost instantly. I shot a TON of their 147s (or may 125's I don't rmember) out of my CZ last year.

I bought a thousand of them the other day.
Load good and they don't smoke. Got my BB in four days.

I have heard and read you don't want to run Moly bullets through a comp. but I have no personal experience with that.

Ok thanks guys. Still new to open major so I am just feeling things out. I will probably just stick with Montana gold ammo, but was just wondering in case they run out or something.

Feegee, Extreme makes some that are thick plated that are cited to be good up 1500fps. You might check those out.

Actually they will work in for major in both limited and open. They have done a lot of testing and the new coating seems to be working well in open.

I've pushed plated past 1500 before in a .44 Mag with no issues, and someone around here is using Xtremes for Open, but I forget who. I believe their stated FPS was 1800-1900.

they hold up at that velocity but accuracy goes in the shitter declines
