Just received a 100 count sample package of 147gr flat point bullets from Bayou Bullets. Have never loaded lead. Anyone have a good recipe using Titegroup? Thanks

3.4 VV320 is where i would start with a 1.135 COAL.
Or
Min charge of whatever powder you have on hand or want to try if only looking for a 130-135 PF.

147 bayou
3.4 grain WST
1.135

This is Tony's recipe that he gave me in another section. I have some loaded but haven't made it out to try them out.

I am also shooting these out of a m&p pro with a 13lbs. Recoil spring.

I load 3.5 @ 1.115 OAL. But I use a 147 J&K. This load is so soft it ought to be illegal, but it does make PF.

Thank you both. I didn't see his recipe in the other section. I will try this out as soon as my bullets from bayou arrive. I haven't reloaded any 9mm yet, but I'm guessing my normal white box factory loads are going to feel like 45 acp out of my glock 30 compared to this.

What does everyone think of WST for this bullet?
I love WST for 9 and 40, it is IMHO second to N320 but WST does a great job. I use 3.4gr of WST @1.125 with a lead/moly 147gr bullet. At some point you might want to chrono the load out of your gun with your specific lot of powder to verify.

HELLO. I STARTED this post. What about my NEEDS? HMMM? VV320 this, WST that. What about Titegroup? It meters like fine sand, clean as a baby's unspeakable. Does nobody like Titegroup? Thank you in advance

TG for me takes about .1-.2 grains more than VV320. Works very well.
I use WST as well but like VV320 a bit better. Actually 3.2 gr at 1.125 easily makes min PF. If mem serves about 128/9 from a Glock 4" bbl,

VV320 then WST and then TG is the order of softness to me. Clays if you like is in-between VV320 and WST in softness. Some say don't push Clays so I I don't. There is also AA2 that is also a fast powder. A buddy of mine likes it and uses it.

Many good choices. I would suggest whatever you can get your hands on and go from there.

Sir,
My apologies. I quickly skimmed your post and did not note the question was in reference specifically to TG. Guess i didn't read the second line. Hope my previous post put the thread back on track.

Finished loading the bayou Bullets with recommended load data input from all. Works like a charm. Wish I knew a LEO with a radar gun so I could see some ballistics.

Do you have any more specifics on that load? Primer, chrono, etc.... and what type of groups were you getting?
