all my baseball caps on the top of them either have a button or nothing, I just got 1 that has a square of Velcro(1"x1") on it. can anyone tell me what its for????
It's there to put a small infrared patch when operating down range. If you have an IR patch then air support can identify you. Keeps the ordnance of your ass.
Of course, if you're not operating anywhere they make some cool mini morale patches for that spot. I have a Punisher patch for that spot.
I got mine at uspatriottactical.com, but in a retail location at Ft Knox, KY. Top top button patches are a little elusive but google "1x1 morale patches" and a lot of online sellers come up.
