I just got back from the Basic Long Range Precision (sniper) Rifle Course given at Badlands. I am very impressed. Last Monday I got my first bolt gun. Thursday was the first day of the class. I told Bobby that I was very green with a scoped gun, then he promised me I would be consistantly be able to hit targets at 500 yards at the end of instruction. Friday the wind was in the fiftys so very little shooting was done. Saturday I qualified out to 600. Later that day my partener and I were ringing the iron maiden at 1000 yards. Sunday we shot a cold bore noted a 100 yard zero and put the 700 yard dope on the rifle. My partener calculated the wind I put it on the gun and sent four rounds through the flapper it less than 30 seconds. I cant say enough for Range Master Bobby Whittington and Rifle Instructor Steve Suttles.
