Everyone has been doing a great job of calling their Legislators about infringements on their Second Amendment rights and an impending assault weapons ban. But the fight is not over.

We must keep the pressure on. I don't think the President believes an assault weapons ban will pass Congress but he does want increased background checks

OBAMA WANTS BETTER BACKGROUND CHECKS (from 2 years ago)

The problem with implementing background checks on private sales is that it is unenforceable WITHOUT GUN REGISTRATION. Obama knows this and wants it passed by Congress so he can then come back and say "the law you passed is not working" "If we knew were all the guns were we could enforce your new law"

Now all of our Legislators know how we feel about things such as AWB and magazine capacity restrictions HOWEVER, I guarantee a good portion of them would vote for "universal background checks" if pressured. They don't see that as an infringement because we already have NICS and this would just make it "better".

Please make sure that your legislators know that we will accept NO COMPROMISE!

a lot of rules are really unenforcable w/o registration, but theyre there anyway. Interstate non-ffl sales, for one example.

,If this passes and fails I hope they use it to hang the politicians with it (figureatively) for not protecting the constitution and creating a panic then offering a solution that only makes it worse.
