ATP is offering an all day shooting pass deal on livingsocial.
http://www.livingsocial.com/cities/...day-shooting-range-pass-for-one-or-two-people

For $19 you get one free gun rental, one free box of ammunition and four targets. I'm not a fan of the store but I do like their range set up and it's air conditioning. You're limited to 9mm, .22 and .38. You can bring a guest but they'd have to share your stuff. You can buy up to five passes on this deal.
I've used livingsocial before and haven't had issues. *knock on wood*

I was down in Jacksonville, FL and the range fee was $17.

At $19 includes range fee, 50 rounds of ammo, 4 targets and gun rental is a deal (hopefully eyes and ears are included).
If you bought 50 rounds of 38 Special ammo at Wally World its around $15.

Of course for me, how can I stop at 50 rounds

Bit anywhere you rent a gun they make you buy there ammo. Hell you rent a gun and get the cheapest 50 round box of whatever it usually cost you 40-50$

A box of 9mm bought from ATP to shoot through a rental gun will be no more than $20. If you are smart, you'd grab the cheaper stuff in the aisles and not the more expensive stuff they hand to you.

Range...$5
Gun rental....$5
Box of 9mm....15-20

Total 25-30

Add a $1 a piece if you use their eye or ear protection.

Now show up with your own 9mm and Walmart bought Federal value pack ammo.

Range $5
50 rounds federal from WM....$10

Total....$15

Definitely go down the aisle and pick the lesser of the expensive ammo...

However, the last time I bought 50 rounds federal ammo at WM, it was 12.97+tax=$14.
Haven't seen $10 per 50 rounds since they stopped carrying Blaser Brass, at least in Goose Creek.

And don't forget the four targets, large ones are $1...

Their range is not always cool as I like except in the winter time :D
But I think they are the best I've been to in this area....

at least until Quickshot Charleston opens...

Opening September 1, 2012
Quickshot Charleston
1869 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard
Charleston, SC 29407

You have to buy the 100 round Federal value packs at $19.97 to get the $10 for 50 price. However, it sells out FAST, so good luck if you can find it in stock.

I stopped by Summerville Walmart last night and asked about the 100 round Federal Value Pack again..

According to the ordering manager - Federal will not sell Walmart the 50 round box anymore...
