Always knew it was not going to be too difficult, but always procrastinated giving it a whirl.
Finally bought 2 custom lowers with my Gun Trust information engraved into the receivers prior to the anodizing, so figured I'd better test fit and function before spending $200 each to get them designated as SBR Lowers..
First one I put together yesterday. As I mentioned, this is a custom Billet receiver that eliminates ALL roll pins. The trigger guard is machined into the design, eliminating 1 roll pin, the bolt release pivot pin is actually an allen-head threaded pin that replaces the roll pin. That eliminates any chances of leaving a mark on the receiver when driving the roll pins home.. Added a Rock River take off collapsing stock to completely assemble and test fit to my shoulder... so far, its feeling quite tiny.. just right for my 4" barrel 22 caliber upper.
My only additional effort was cleaning out the blind hole for the pivot pin retainer spring hole. I just chased it with a small diameter screw to clear out the salts from the anodizing process, I assume thats what the powdery substance was.
The other features, 300 BLK caliber marking and 300-based serial numbers.. (I got 0002 and 0003 consecutive Ser#'s - it was a limited run )
