There ought to be a litmus test for these troglodytes. How the hell can you create an ad for a gun you're selling and then put "call or text for details"... YOUR AD IS THE PLACE TO PUT THE GODDAMNED DETAILS!

"1911 for sale.... $1900.... call for details...."

And, of course, there's no picture.

And, if my account on Armslist is a verified, bona-fide human that buys and sells guns.... then why do I have to enter a Captcha every single time I message another user?

The funny thing is that the gun grabbers flip out about ArmsList. Apparently the Gang Bangers are grabbing up those $1900 1911s sight unseen.

I have been looking for a Ruger LC9 with Crimson Trace Laser. Found one on Armslist about a month ago. Guy had it listed for $600. He had a trigger job done two it an extra mag and some ammo and a holster. I asked if he would be interested in trading at that time and he said no. Well I sold the gun I had up for trade. Now he has been listing this gun since then and updating the listing. He listed it two days in a row last week. One under to sell and again under sell/trade. Has all the info in the add but says text for details. So I text and ask if he would take less. Replies with all the info on the gun, which is in the add that I am looking at, how much he has on it and that he can't go down on the price. He is about 3 hours away from me, so I text back, if I purchase the gun will he be willing to meet me half way. He replies that he is on call 24/7 and works a lot of hours. I reply that I am willing to pay his asking price if we can work out something and meet this weekend. He replied that he would check his schedule and let me know later in the week. All this took place on Wednesday. I never did hear back from him. I went to the gun show in Florence and bought one for $480 plus tax. His adds are still up on Armslist.

People who want to sell used guns for as much or more than new amuse me.

Yeah, guns hold their value fairly well, but your used LCR is not worth as much as a new one in most cases. It takes a long time for "old used gun" to turn into "valued antique."

Actually, they concern me, and should concern the sellers as well. Seems the only reason you would pay more than OTC price is because you are prohibited from buying OTC. Except for those rare items like a couple of Keltecs I could name. So if you're buying at Academy and selling on Armslist for a profit, remember they will come for you when it's found at the scene. Vote to change the law, but don't enable lawbreakers.

change what law. i am not responsible for law breakers. dont you remember the panic? lowers going for $600? it is legal to sell a gun. if i ask if you are a felon and you say no what am i supposed to do sell my gun or call you a lier?

I always like it when they don't put a price on their items and it says $0 or FREE. I send them an email saying I'll take it at the advertised price. Then they get angry at me for some reason when they actually put a price on it and I decline it.
