Area 4 Championship 2014

Shooters, want to know how Jerry protects his gun from the weather. Dollar Store shower cap BOOM!

Haha. I had my cmore die on one stage and a torn case in another. I think the only reason I didn't finish last is because Yuth's gun broke! Haha. It was fun and I shot a couple really good stages, but overall a bit disappointed.

Word of advice for anyone that hasn't shot one of Troy's matches. Take yoga for about a year to be able to lean around them walls. There were 180 opportunities, but I think most were typical DQ's. 12 out of over 300 shooters isn't excessive for a Level III. There could have been two more on my squad that didn't get called. :)

1 dq was lowering the hammer on a cz and it slipped and went off

1 was drawing before turning all the way around, facing up range.

1 was drawing and making ready before the r.o. instructed him to do so.

I know there probably could have been more with all of the 180* traps but I think they were being a little generous on the faults.

1 was for unsafe gun handling (finger in the trigger guard while clearing a jam)

I'm sorry but drawing to make ready before being told to do so is chicken elephant dung unless the guys is back at his truck. I saw a guy once starting to pull his gun out of his holster before I said make ready. Guess what I did? Said make ready as fast as I possibly could.

Finger in the trigger guard hopefully got a warning or three before the DQ too.
