Just a quick update. I've been trying to scrounge a few extra things for the prize table. (i'm not officially part of the match staff, I'm just a meddler)
Today, Salomon agreed to provide a bunch of shoes, Suunto is providing a sweet watch. Streamlight kicked in some lights.
DAC is sending a bunch of cleaning kits. One of my favorite taco places is putting a coupon in the match book.

Its looking good.

Scott, just about everybody will walk off with a nice prize if my next potential sponsor comes thru.
I'm working on getting something for everybody (there's over 335 shooters registered) But I cant make any promises yet.

The neat thing about a prize like the watch is that its valued at $600...more than some of the guns or frames on the table. So it has the potential to push a gun further down the line.

Second match hotel has been arranged. The Candlewood is pretty much full. We have made a deal with the LaQuinta Inn, which is also pretty close to the Range. Listed address is 6700 Boston Street. Actually located just off Rogers Avenue, behind the Outback Steakhouse. The General Manager, Krish Patel, joined our Gun Club this month, and wanted to help promote shooting sports, so they are gun friendly.

Krish has established a company account under the name 'OFGC' (Old Fort Gun Club) and is offering a rate of $65.00 + tax for either a single or double. You will need to call the local hotel directly to get this special rate, as it is not established on line yet. Phone number is (479) 484-0303, book reservations under the company name "OFGC."
