We have one declared candidate, Michell Bachman, and two undeclared candidates.
Sarah Palin, and Hillary Clinton.
Sarah is testing the waters, and so far in reality,(no matter what the media is saying) is gaining support by leaps and bounds.

Hillary Clinton, 1/2 of the Clinton power machine, has openly said she is not interested, but did fire a shot across Obamas bow last year on his Iraq stand. Since then there have been tiny snippets from her camp about how unhappy she is with obama and his policies.

I'm thinking she is waiting on a ground swell of support to run against Obama.
Am I wrong?

To be honest, I don't have any problem with a female president.

You know who I really want to run? Some working class guy/gal who lives paycheck to paycheck. Who knows how to get dirty, and knows how to clean up. I want someone who is real. I want someone who will lead me, not manage me.

Sarah Palin....lead me.
Hillary Clinton....manage me.

Easy choice for me.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
Not only about Sarah or Hillary, but its all about how the democrats want to manage the country, vs how the GOP wants the country to run itself. ;)

I thought this was gonna be about a babe of the day thread. I'll leave the politics to you old guys. :)

I don't think Sarah's gonna run. Her and Bachman have too much in common. They would basically be the same candidate.

I think for the moment, Michelle is my favorite, but it's early too.
But I'll say this, whoever is the repub nominee is getting my vote in the general. Because every stinking one of them is a better choice. I'm not sure we can take another 4 years of this guy we have now.

Come-on! The decisions made today are effecting you and your potential childrens future. You are the one that should be the most interested in making sure your future is secure. I'm stuck with what has happened in the past, the youth of today has the opportunity to make a difference in their future.

Trust me! I'm not busting your chops at all. Get involved, look at the issues, and make an intelligent choice unlike the last election, when the youth thought a cool black guy that shoots hoops might make a difference....
Yes he did.
Unemployment over 9% officially but 15% when one considers the ones that ran out of unemployment funds, and quit looking.
Okla is blessed with our oil economy, that has helped us thru this downturn in the economy, but it will reach us.

I was younger than you when I became involved.

BTW, if you have a babe of the day pic, shoot me a pm ;) :D

I don't have the time to do all of the research, but from reading some polls from the pundits, if the election was held today, with Sara Palin and Obama, Sarah would win by a landslide.

I take all of the great radio commentators like Limbaugh, Hannity, and Bortch with a grain of salt, and actually listen to NPR (national public radio) (the dems response to Limabugh etc)
I want to hear both sides. Its amazing how each can spin the others comments.
It all comes down to what is good for the country.

I don't have a problem voting for a female presidential candidate, but not until I see a good one. I won't just say, "Oh well she's a woman, so she's got that in her favor."

And don't get me started on Sarah Palin. I can't vote for her.

And to say, "I'll vote for a Rep. regardless of who it is, because it's not Obama!" is the kind of reactionist logic that gets us all screwed over in the end. Vote for the right candidate, regardless of political party. I don't care if someone is running on the Democratic or Republican ticket, I vote for who I think will do the best job.

But as to gender? I don't really care. It's about what you do, not who you are.

There are only two candidates in the general. Doing a write-in or voting independent is pure fantasy at best and it's only possible outcome will be Obama's re-election.

In reality, what you said it true, but the method in which is was arrived is flawed in my opinion. Nothing personal, just don't like the line of thinking.

May just be because I'll probably vote for Obama again

Man I hope those polls are right. I really, really, really do.

More power to you on NPR. I find it completely like the SNL skits. Besides they (libs) are totally predictable.

No problemo, I don't take interwebz stuff personal. But go ahead, In Okiehomie he won't get 20% of the vote. So no damage done...:D

I don't have a problem with a woman being president, as long as we elect the right woman. That's my take on it.
