Check out the 40mm stuff from LMT they are pretty nice. You'd be surprised at what a practice (chalk) round can do to a piece of plywood at 50 yards.

I would rather be able to illuminate my back yard with a 37mm flare than blow the bejesus out of it with a 40mm grenade. I would also be willing to bet that it is easier to get flares before grenade rounds with less paperwork. Be kind to neighbors, help reduce schrapnel damage.

Correct about not getting grenade rounds but I can use any old flare gun if I need to light up the "hood". However you can get the 22LR beehive adapters for the 40mm, those are fun! I know a shotgun is still more effective but it's not near as cool.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of these launchers, probably due to the operating cost and the limited range distance I have to shoot at. They're more fun out in wide open spaces where you can lob the round onto a target.

I think you can get HE rounds but you have to pay the $200 destructive device tax on each round :shock: .

I'm not certain how the tax applies, if at all, in the case of a SOT and HE grenades for DD's. I don't believe Henry's SOT covers DD's but I've been wrong before.

I tried looking for some online to no avail. Now I'm just curious. You think the NFA branch would get freaked out if I called them and asked if I could have grenades for a 203? LOL I mean what legit reason are you going to put on the form 4 for reason to own? To enhance my personal collection....Yeah right. They would prob laugh.
