AR parts ordered

that one was a bit tricky - put tape over the hole so I could rest the detent on - then pressed it down with the breakdown pin.

If that tape on your magwell was to hide your serial number, I proclaim FAIL status. The first pic you posted has a crystal clear shot of it. :85:

anyone have a spare that I can buy or have? I guess I might just need to buy another spring kit

Actually, I may have a spare. Which one is it?

ETA: I also have a quad rail gas block made by YHM.

Look for YHM 9380 on this page

That is what it is.

ETA: and I have an extra Nickel Boron coated hammer. I wish I remembered I had this stuff before the classified adds giveaway closed. :(

The brass detent that keeps the rear breakdown pin locked from coming all the way out - sits on the spring that the stock applies pressure to.

Also, shot it today with Robusto's .22 Nordic Upper - bang ditty bang ditty bang.

I love being in Oklahoma and Love LOKI

JP,
If you really want to shoot irons. Let's build a 20" with a a comp. We can
bolt on a YHM flip up iron gas block sight all the way out to the front.
It will give you an extremely nice sight radius.
The weight will be just over 6.5lbs with a carbon fiber hand guard and an
A2 stock.
If you want to shoot non magnified, I would look at the 18" with a Nordic
comp, carbon fiber hand guard, and an A2 stock. It will weigh almost exactly
6lbs. It will feel much lighter as the weight distribution is rearward.
My daughter's rifle is a MOE loki and she picked up the new 3G rifle and
her rifle back to back and though it was lighter even though it is 8oz
heavier.
BR,
Erik

jp, you are really screwing yourself here... after you build this and shoot it, your AK will not longer feel accurate and won't be able to live up to the great performance of you new AR!!!!

I know :( But I plan on practicing with the AK - sorta like Rocky IV - It should make me that much more better with the AR.

Spencer Hooked me up!! - I did drop it on the floor.... but I found it!!

My first victory with the AR will be made possible because of you!

Just a little FYI, some companies will spend you the part for free. I called Daniel Defense when I had lost a pin detent and they sent me one for free, they even covered the postage.
