Hi guys,

I had an apex trigger installed in my M&P and since then have been getting light strikes fairly often. At first I thought it was the cheap WalMart ammo I was using, but it shoots fine out of my Glock. Any suggestions?

Are you using winchester ammo and did you change the springs? If so, that's your problem and you need to stick with federal ammo.

I had to use federal primers in my m&p after a trigger job. Otherwise i would get light strikes quite offten

only if you change the striker spring to a lighter one, should you get light strikes. If the striker spring isnt old and worn out, then the next place to look is for crud/dirt build up in the slide. It can also be striker- safety block/safety plunger interference, possibly due to improper install of the striker block/safety plunger.

if you call APEX they can be very helpful with fixing any issues you may have after installing a trigger kit.

Sounds like you had some one do the work? What parts kit was used? Were correct parts used?

I did my own, parts used are.
FSS alum trigger kit
Competition Spring kit
RAM Kit

This gave me a 2.2lb trigger per my digital gauge.
With shorten pretravel and a very short reset.
500rds and two steel matches later not 1 issue!!!

I can only guess that the person doing the work may of not installed the new striker spring and this is only a guess!
Which apex trigger was put in? If you did the work call apex and they can help!

If not give the gun back to who did the work and have him call apex they can help Him get it right.

Good luck
