AP Custom Quad Load Question

Does anyone know if you can angle the AP quad load system on your belt at an angle like the Taccom quad loads or do they have to be mounted horizonally? I like the idea of having the caddy at a slight angle. I got the idea of mounting like this after seeing Jessie Tischauser's video on the Taccom system.

Thanks

Mine are canted over quite a bit. You can mount them however you'd like.

I think it depends on the belt attachment. I need to look at mine again but I don't remember being able to to it on the tek lock. I'll look again to confirm.

You can cant them any way you like, they pivot on that center screw and you can loctite it where you want it set.

If anyone has pictures of their AP Quad loads on the Tek Lock with a cant and could post them, that would be great. Thanks for the help on this one. Seeing that I should be able to mount them at a cant, I'll probably end up going this route. It will be nice getting away from the weak hand load that I've been using for a long time.

You can not cant the caddy but you can cant the holders themselves.
The holders attach to a spanner bar that is mounted to the tek-lok.
The spanner bar holes only allow attachment in the horiz. position.
The actual shell holders attach to the spanner bar with a single screw in the middle therefore they themselves can be canted.

Here's a pic of my Deuces, but it'd be the same with quads

You could drill & tap a hole in the middle of the spanner bar & attach it to the tek-lok in a canted position if you really wanted to.

The L2/4 and L2/6 come drilled and tapped for the Safariland ELS system as well as tek lok. Thereby you could cant the whole carrier at 30, 60, or 90 degrees if using this. There is also some micro adjustability in the ELS forks themselves. Otherwise if you use tek lok you would have to modify it as mentioned previously.

Jake Burki taught me to keep my dueces upright that way you just sweep your hand back the same way every time to catch the next set of shells.

With quads you aren't grabbing shells as fast. I think proper hand angle/placement seems to be important to a good clean grab which is why I run a little angle. If one could run them upright and use Burki's advice that would likely be a fast load and might even result in a world record!

Thats exactly how I run mine. I'm no world record holder but I have my l2/4s vertical and my quads canted over like you can see above.

I just got some of these and they are so much faster then quad loading out of my fsl12
