Hey folks. Just curious as I'm sure a few people may be in this same boat. I'm looking into the possibility of getting certified as a conceal-carry instructor. I've got a good deal of previous teaching experience and it seems like something I'd enjoy teaching.
Here's what I'm curious on though: where are independent instructors (ie, people who don't have an indoor facility like the big gun shops) allowing their students to shoot? I know I have spoken to some people who have taken classes from "mobile" instructors who basically offer to teach people on their own land, but the fact that very few people have a proper backstop scares me there.
Are there any facilities, clubs, etc that anyone knows of that will let you rent out a "real" shooting space for a time for things like this?
Its kinda disappointing as there's no shortage of places to rent out a meeting room for the class itself, and that's the majority of the class, but for the 20-30 minutes of range time needed its a problem.
