Wanting input on Frog-Lube. Please.
I use frog lube paste and do my ARs exactly like this. I also used tried Fireclean and it works just about as well. Either are good, but the Froglube hung on longer on my corrosion test. Fireclean was no slouch, but the frog beat them all.Dustin Cantrell said:I love it. I've probably treated 15-16 guns with it. I use a heat gun to warm up the parts and then brush on the paste. Let them cool and then wipe it off. For contact areas I'll brush on a very thin film of the paste before I reassemble. Cleaning is very easy. I just use a q tip dry where I need to and paper towels or a microfiber towel for large areas. I'll brush on a thin film on contact areas again after wiping off fouling. It lubes very well and I don't get oil working its way out while sitting in the safe. A 4oz tub is about $11 and I've treated and reapplied to many guns and only used about 20% of that little tub. You can get the 3/8" acid brushes for about a quarter each. No need to buy a kit.
more like Kodiak wintergreen long cut! But yup! I honestly would love the stuff if it was odorless...Right after I use it on my concealed carry piece I feel very conspicuous! Ha!Wall said:smells like a skoal spit cup
