Anyone running the Walther PPQ in 3GN?

You have to understand that a phenomenal trigger and top notch ergonomics in a plastic gun are just mediocre when compared against the custom built 2011s most people are using in 3GN matches.

As I'm sure you're aware, Mr. Ron, mastery of the fundamentals means one can tear it up with a stock Glock, it just takes a little more work. :)
 
I'm sure the Walther is a good gun. Just don't see many of them in 3-gun. Probably not as many aftermarket parts like mag extensions and such as for Glocks and M&P's.

We have a guy over here that shoots the M1 4" version in USPSA. The M2 and the 5" are not on the Production approved list yet.
Team Walther was at the AR Section match. I have no idea what guns they were using.

I haven't seen a Walther at a 3-gun match either but that doesn't mean you couldn't is one if you had one lying around. It would get you in the game to get started but I doubt anyone would recommends buying one specifically for 3-gun because their aren't a lot of aftermarket go fast parts available. Things like holster, mag ext, sights, triggers, mag wells etc. One could buy a Glock, M&P, XDM and be much better suited to have a easily upgrade able pistol for any action shooting competition.

I use one in competition. Great gun, very under rated. I have the SprinCo Recoil system, Springer Precision basepads, 10-8 rear sight- and a Dawson front sight. The trigger will absolutely spoil you. APEX has released a flat face trigger for the PPQ that is great, Taran Tactical and Taylor Freelance both have +6 mag extensions and Taylor Freelance has the magwells. There is no need for extended slide release or over sized magazine release buttons. It already has them.
