Anyone know the guy on OSA with the handle "Okie_dave"? He PM'd me to tell me he would take an item I have in the classifieds, then the site went down and I've been unable to contact him.
I'm not sure why we have to have one of these threads each time OSA is down. OSA is OSA, this is BoomerShooter. They're SEPERATE sites. You don't call Dominoes to find out when Pizza Hut will deliver your order.
This is a site to talk about guns shooting & BS about Guns & Shooting. This isn't an OSA status information site for people got to to ask if anyone else is having OSA connection problems.
As far as all the new sign ups, we weren't hurting before. If they're only here to kill time while OSA is down, who needs them. I mean we're actually considering adding a GD section because of member requests? For F's sake that's why we left, so we could actually talk about shooting & guns. As Cyrwus said, "there's already a place for that". I'm sure the guys like me that have been here from the start (Chambers, Anderson, Cyrwus, Wormy, many more...) & not just as a "Plan B" will agree with me.
Yes, I'm a very active member on OSA as well as here and I have nothing bad to say about OSA. I just don't expect to get the same type of conversation there as I do here. I like both but they are as different as a USPSA match & "Shooting a soda can in the backyard".

My question is - BoomerShooter.com has everything OSA has - except for the gossip blog part - who really cares if they are online or not. We actually talk about guns here. So if you are scared to talk about guns then yes go back to OSA. For the members that actually want to talk about the sport and hobby we love - BOOMERSHOOTER.com will ALWAYS be here!!
