My buddy and I went out today on the ATV's, riding 13 miles through the woods, and creek bottoms. Found a few, with a couple of nice ones. That biggest one in the pic would have been a mainframe 12 point if the other side matched.

I haven't been out in the field since deer archery ended but when I was driving to my shooting match sat. morning, in between Mangum and Duke, I saw at least 50 deer on the side of the road. All along my route they were hanging out close to the roads in the wheat fields. One buck was still sporting his rack.

Where I hunt it is so thick that sheds are nearly impossible to find. Lots of fun lookin though!
the thick knarley areas are the best place to look. ;) We would spot a good trail heading into a wheat field, and walk it backwards. Long afternoon, but really fun. My butt hurts. :D

Well, we rode 8 miles yesterday, and found these. The second pic is our two day total.
While out yesterday, we came across these two hens. I don't think they had ever seen a human before, as they would just sit there while we rode within 10 feet of them. Finally decided to take some pics.
We left them right there, and rode on.

It's that time of year when the turkeys get retarded. This morning out my office window I watched a tom walking around in the parking lot across the street in the middle of OKC.

That sure is a big ice chest for two guys.... Shed hunting makes me thirsty to. :D :D :D
