Anti-Gun Rally 3/2

Back in New York they actually pay quite a few of those anti-gun protesters, they give them free tickets for travel, free breakfast, and a free lunch, and they pay for those people to go back home, and they make sure the news media blows it out of proportion. They are referred to as paid thugs in New York

I would love to go observe. Hopefully I'll have enough gas left in the tank for a trip up there in my NRA hat.

Exactly, Wylie. That's why I want to get my own eyes on what's going on. I know a few places have had such rallies and none of the pro-gun folks have been able to find them, they were so small!

Well, they turned out a whopping 30 folks. I'll have a more detailed report and some pictures shortly.

"South Carolina: where gun control activists are getting CWPs"

Today, dreamerofdreams, you made an old man chuckle. Good report.

Thanks for attending and for your write up dreamerofdreams. So, has the news media sensationalized the 3,000 people, oops I mean 30 people, that showed up yet  ?

I applaud you for putting yourself out there and trying to inform the uninformed. And I agree, the gun control activist admitting to getting her CWP is priceless and dripping with hypocrisy. Mental Midgets United...we are being overrun by lemmings.

Classic. Thanks for swinging by. I was going to make the drive and capture some video, but I've got two sick little ones and they are a handful right now.

I've been to several anti-gun rallies and this one is a first for me. I've never seen or heard of them trying to organize people to come over and engage those obviously not with their group (at least I've never noticed it. I guess they could have done it without my seeing). It strikes me as kind of odd to try to talk with people you are afraid of. I'm glad they were at least polite.

I'm amused that they bring up the ID thing for common cold medicine. That silly little bit of government nonsense has done nothing to the supply of meth.

I'm not 100% sure that is what they did, but they certainly did bunch up and talk to each other for a minute or two before two of them headed straight for us.

The sudafed thing really boggled my mind! Most of it did, of course, but I hadn't heard that particular angle before. It makes about as much sense as most of their other things, but I guess if you are more concerned with "doing something" rather than "doing something that works," what does it matter?

So far the articles I've seen have avoided mentioning numbers, which is good. A big part of why I went was to be able to prove them wrong if they tried numbers-massage.

There was one other gentleman there that I did not mention in the blog post. Largely because I cannot put into words what he was saying, it made that little sense. Total word-salad. I should have turned on the recorder I had, but had only planned on using it if things got confrontational and I didn't think about recording stupidity before it was too late.
