I hit two Walmarts and little to be found.................ATP had some CCI 22 cal at near 9 cents a round and Rem Thunderbolt junk $40+ per 500 bulk pack (one on shelf)....East Coast...some 50 and 100 round stuff at high prices....Ammo Dump.....hi priced junk Rem.....Gun Doctor had what may have been Rem junk but the phone call was unintelligible...................Haven't seen any Walmart prices, but everyone else is limiting purchase and appear to be GOUGING.

I am searching the net for deals and will probably buy all my ammo on line from now on....The local stores won't be getting my business.

Everyone keep your eyes open and post what you find anywhere.....At this time all I am looking for is HV HP 22 LR.....I am in good supply with most of my other needs....

AimSurplus sold out of over a million rounds of 5.45x39 in around three hours today. An obscure online retailer tore through two CONEXes of corrosively primed ammo in an obscure Russian caliber in less time than it takes to watch a football game. Imagine the enormous volumes being moved in common calibers like 9mm, 45 ACP, 5.56, etc.

Right now there are three kinds of ammo:
- Ammo sold at MSRP, which is all out of stock.
- Ammo sold at prevailing market prices, which may be in stock.
- Fudd ammo in calibers like .270 and .410 shot.

There is not a choice for "large quantities of normal MSRP ammo." That is simply not an option. If it were an option, some industrious citizen would go buy it up and sell it on GunBroker for market prices and make a ton of money or hoard it in their basement, and then someone who REALLY needs a box of ammo would have no options. Right now at least someone who must have a box of ammo can at least get it. Moreoever, a lot of retailers have no idea when they will get resupplied from their distributers or what that resupply will cost? When their shelves are bare, they may have no product for awhile. How are they supposed to keep the doors open, pay their staff, and restock if they don't get resupply for two weeks and if they didn't sell their inventory at prevailing market rates? What incentive is there for manufacturers and distributors to put on another shift and ramp up production if there's no more profit itn it?

I'm surprised at how many gun people are demanding that "someone" control the prices to prevent the "gouging." Its called supply and demand in a free market.

I buy a ton of gun stuff on the internet and am skeptical of local gun stores that gouge in the good times, but now is not a normal time. Shopping for gun stuff now is like trying to find plywood, a generator, and five gallon gas cans in Florida a day before a hurricane. Don't complain because you failed to foresee the storm coming and figured you didn't need a few gas cans or sheets of plywood stashed away and you are now getting charged the market rate to stock up at the last minute. Heck I'd be glad that there's even any ammo available at all! It'd be like finding the last few sheets of plywood for sale before the hurricane hits.

Ok, I'll add a fourth kind of available ammo: 7.62x54R. Mosin-nagant fans win! Apparently Russia did make enough of the stuff for the end of the world as we know it after all.

I'm with you on ordering from the net! ATP jacked their prices as soon as word got out about proposed gun bans.

No crap 18.99 for a box of 20 rounds of m855 ... They didnt even bother taking the 8.99 tag off!

Cabelas has cruddy 5.56 in stock for $10 per 20 rounds.

THey have a fair amount of pistol ammo for somewhat jacked up prices, some of it on back order and some of it in stock.

Shipping is $5 this weekend with a discount code (right on their front page).

Goose Creek Walmart had some 9mm in this morning. They also have a 3 box per day per person limit that came down from corporate yesterday.

If you live in the Greenville, Spartanburg area, SC Gun Company in Greer has ammo. Was in there yesterday.
They have the following but are limiting the amount you can buy.
.380
.9mm lots of it
.556
7.62x39 quite a bit
.38
.357
7.62x54r
.45

They also have surplus calibers as they specialize in military surplus gun.
There was also 4 or 5 ar's in stock.
Here is a link to their web page

Not sure if you want this here, at Academy Sports in Cola, was told one weapon purchase per 7 days and limiting in select cals to one box/day.

My son picked up some .22LR for me and some .40 S&W for himself at Allen Arms this morning. Prices were OK considering what's going on everywhere else.

Academy in Greenville is getting a shipment Friday morning, but...

limiting to one box per caliber, three boxes max. The ammo is behind the desk just inside the front door, not back in Sporting Goods.

I believe that was Federal 147gr. HST Law Enforcement. They did have a lot of their proprietary Monarch (PrviPartizan) 9mm FMJ @ $10.99/50rnds
on Wedenesday am. shipment, same brand/count in .45acp was $18.99 or $21.99, can't remember. They haven't jacked up their prices, maybe a buck or so on some ammo, as far as I can tell.

they must have been out of the monarch. i asked how much 9mm was and the "kid" pointed to the $35. tag. he might not have known the difference.
