Got some time to zero her at 25 last week - Ready for this Months 2 gun at OKCGC on the 21st - Anyone else wanna bring their AKs out? We can squad up!

Aw man! I wish I could - that would be awesome! Unfortunately I have to plan pretty far in advance for the matches I shoot...plus I'll be in meetings for the next 2 weekends! Aaarrrggghhh!

working on some mag pouches for the next match (these should work for all steel mags)- can't wait to unveil them!

This belongs to a friend of mine, and I'm posting it with his permission. I'll let him come online and tell more about it, but what I know is that it is a Norinco 56s that has had less than 300 rounds through it. Its worth a decent amount and is a fine example of a quality AK. Yes, that is the original bayo.

Thanks for posting a picture of my Pre-Ban Norinco 56s Taymoor. I forgot to tell you the original sling is in my range bag @ your place.

Here's the scoop on the AK guys. My dad's friend won a raffle a long time ago @ their work. A guy that worked there had a gun shop on the side and was doing the raffle. Since my dad's friend already had an AK my dad talked him into paying him twice what his raffle ticket cost him and taking the gun home. The guy agreed, and that Norinco sat in my dad's closet in its original box from the sometime in the mid 80's until last fall when he decided he didn't feel like having it around anymore. I guess a guy can only have so many antique or collectors item firearms in one closet or something?

So anyways, I took it, cut the orginal wrappers and zipties off, tore it down to get the cosmolene out, then myself and Taymoor went shooting. The first trigger pull was pretty tough, sentimentally/financially speaking. But it shoots great and reliably hits motionless clays @ 100yards with iron sights. The best parts of having it so far are the "bumpfire" and if I sling it up and walk around a gun show I get at least 1 offer to buy it on every isle i walk down. I almost went hoarse @ the Wanimacker show this past winter LOL.

Picked up this WASR underfolder for $550 after tax (not including attachments shown). We all know they have QC issues but that really only applies if you're ordering blind off the internet. This bad boy has had no issues as of yet and I don't think twice about getting it down in the dirt. Sorry about the camera phone pics.View attachment 2512View attachment 2513

Well I did some trading around And got myself the First AK that Tony over at Tromix Manufactured. that's right this is serial #1 it has been built off of a Romy G kit. Molly coated trigger Job and all the rivets welded and smoothed. When I seen this gun I fell in Love with it. Hope you guys enjoy sorry the pics are crappy. :bye:

I'm not crazy about the grip ... It looks off for some reason. The rest of the woodwork is really nice. The fore grip especially looks really classy.
