airsoft training?

I think they are probably 18 gauge. If you have the means some of them would be pretty easy to make. Jesse has a WE Hi Capa 5.1.

i have the means. How is that WE holding up. Thats the one i was looking at getting.
How many mags does a guy need to get? I have been told that you can only shoot about 2 mags before you need to recharge them.

Jesse broke his trying to remove the orange tip when he got it so it hasnt been shot much. :) I get about two full mags through mine before the mag runs out of charge. The all metal guns like the WE sometimes only make it throught one mag. I would get at least 3-4.

How thick are those steel targets from BAM. i'm going to make some poppers and plates. I just want to make sure i don't make'em to thick so they will fall.

The targets we made for the "Michellin 2010 Boomer Shooter Intergalactic Airsoft Championship" were 20ga, but the AirSoft balls dented the crap out of them & after a while curved the targets, much like the poppers we shoot during the pistol & 3Gun matches. The targets Chris brought were a little thicker & held up better, they were most likely 18ga. None of them had an issue with being too hard to knock down. Those little AirSoft pistol have a surprising amount of power.

Just don't do mag change drills with them. Since they're where the gas is stored, droping them from your pistol can break them fairly easily. If you had a catch bin with some cushioning it would be ok, but I wouldn't drop them to the floor during movement drills.

I couldn't find a G17 copy, so I ordered Precision Airsoft's last Tokyo Marui Glock 18 copy (it's select fire, should work OK in place of my G17). I can't wait!

In other news, I'm apparently never going to grow up...

Lol! I'd break that select fire switch off right away or it may turn out more expensive than the real thing.
