Hi Guys
I"m looking for a fairly hearty affordable laser / light combo for my tacticooool ar . It will also be the gun i'd use for any night shoots as well. I'd be happy in the $150 range . Also needs to be pressure switch compatible .

The streamlight options seem to be kinda pricey as are the viridian. I'm open to anything that isn't a total POS.

thanks for your thoughts fellows

I don't think your going to get a big name brand laser/light combo for that price. You can buy a good laser or a light but not a combo.

The Crimson Trace stuff is the least expensive but it's dainty and small doesn't have a lot of lumens. Their stuff seems only suited for Light Duty personal defense type use.

I'd save another $100-150 and get a Streamlight TLR-2, TLR-2G or the high lumen TLR-2 HL. I've run all these and they are awesome!

+1, the Streamlight TLR-4 is a laser/light (LED) combo that is robust and well designed, but as Jesse said not made for long range use, the TLR-2 is a better fit for a rifle and is a solid performer out to 50 yards or so.

I wasn't familiar with the TLR-4. That's cheap!

I had eyed a few of the stream lights . Probably going to go with one of them as i carry a streamlight as my flashlight. This would be more of a home defense weapon light and laser , but would be good to pull double duty at a night shoot

Holsters are readily available for the TLR-2 series from Bladetech. I run the WRS II for retention especially at night.

Not sure about the TLR-4.
