Also I was suprised at how hard it was to load lot of tension on the spring.
It's not a spring, it's the shell catch shape. It can be changed. No need for sore thumbs.

What do you get for $800 I guess is what I'm asking?
Lightened carrier, out of battery loading cut, welded and adjusted lifter, loading port opened up/polished, shell catch drilled/tapped and tuned, Hiviz front sight installed/pinned, and all the important surfaces in the gun dressed/polished for reliability. All the hard parts like the extension, oversized carrier release, etc. are installed with attention to detail.

I'm not positive what the going rate is right now, I'm also not sure he's taking new customers. But it is a hell of a product when its all done.

thanks guys, Lohe and Matt, I sent you an email/pm.

800 was my cost a couple years ago; Im at just under a k for the work, which is still quite low and under what other shops' SG work charge. And I do more. and its more betterer.

Mike, can you adjust the poa/poi with slugs to be correct on a barrel? I've got a 22 inch barrel that's alright with slugs but I would rather use my 26 inch barrel which is way off. I'm also looking to get my gun worked over soon

I was doing the old bait and switch. Thought about saying $500 but that would have been too obvious.
