I've heard those run because it's built around the 7.62x39 and the bolt is larger I believe. It looks like an AR but it's really not.

I've seriously considered buying one.

I guess part of the appeal went away when the import rules changed for surplus 7.62x39 ammo

Three main points about .300BLK/AAC:
1- it sucks
2- it is expensive
3- even if you make it yourself, it is still expensive yet gains the additonal non-benefit of being very time-consuming to produce

Always say no to .300BLK. It's like a $5 hoe on down on Lottie.
