At this point all I know is that it's easy on/off and looks cool In pics.Matt Rigsby said:So how do you like the Saker? I'm going to talk to Steve at Cold Hand and have him get me the 5.56 version.
Why not get the 762 and be able to shoot multiple calibers through it?Matt Rigsby said:So how do you like the Saker? I'm going to talk to Steve at Cold Hand and have him get me the 5.56 version.
I have no plans for a .308 and really don't want one due to cost of ammo alone.Rick Howell said:Why not get the 762 and be able to shoot multiple calibers through it?
5.56 is still loud as heck in my limited experience. .22 is amazing and I can't barely take the wait on my new JP GMR-13 9mm carbine. I have an AAC TiRant 9 can waiting to make sweet love to it.Matt Rigsby said:I have no plans for a .308 and really don't want one due to cost of ammo alone.
I have a 9mm suppressor already and a .22 suppressor currently pending so the 5.56 would be the last thing I need to complete my fun bag.
It looks like you have covered the reasons for which I was asking. (Adding 3/4" and 2 ozs to gain additional calibers).Matt Rigsby said:If at some point I decide to build a 300bo upper, my 9mm can will handle the subsonic loads for it.
I'm leaning heavily towards the Saker K. Only 5 dB louder, still under 140, but shorter and lighter weight.Rick Howell said:It looks like you have covered the reasons for which I was asking. (Adding 3/4" and 2 ozs to gain additional calibers).
By far, my AAC 762SD (early original design) on my 300blk shooting subs is the most impressive combination I have seen. On 5.56, it appears to be right in the ballpark with the top performing 5.56 dedicated suppressors. I've never been sorry that I chose it 7 years ago as my first centerfire suppressor. I would like to get it updated to a 51T mount to increase my options. That said, I would REALLY like to have AAC's Mini4, a Surefire Micro, or similar as a dedicated 5.56 to supplement it.
From the shooters perspective, suppressed 5.56 reminds me of shooting an non-suppressed 22 with mini-mags or equivalent.Jesse Tischauser said:5.56 is still loud as heck in my limited experience. .22 is amazing and I can't barely take the wait on my new JP GMR-13 9mm carbine. CCI #74 Segmented Subs are nice through a 10-22 but just flat awesome through a bolt.Matt Rigsby said:Yeah the 5.56 is still pretty loud due to the supersonic crack, but it still makes my list of must haves.
I'm anxiously awaiting my .22 can. I have 500 rounds of 710 fps rounds that would be perfect for a super quiet bolt gun.
That's what I have. 250 are the segmented hp, the other 250 are round nose.Rick Howell said:CCI #74 Segmented Subs are nice through a 10-22 but just flat awesome through a bolt.

I have an SDN-6 on my .300. That reminds me. I need some freedom munitions 300blk Ammo.Rick Howell said:From the shooters perspective, suppressed 5.56 reminds me of shooting an non-suppressed 22 with mini-mags or equivalent.
You need to mount that Saker on a 300blk upper and try it out.![]()
I've been seeing a lot of negative about surefire suppressor support if something goes wrong.Rick Howell said:I would REALLY like to have AAC's Mini4, a Surefire Micro, or similar as a dedicated 5.56 to supplement it.
That doesn't surprise me as they have customer support issues in other areas as well.Matt Rigsby said:I've been seeing a lot of negative about surefire suppressor support if something goes wrong.
Apparently they're focused on the military side and couldn't give much of a elephant dung about civilian customer service.
