Yep, been looking at them. Midway has AR-Stoner 10 round mags in stock and I've seen other brands on different sites.

I got in on a group buy over on 65grendel.com so now I'll have an 18" Satern Liberty barrel and bolt a week or so after Thanksgiving. Apparently 6.5 Grendel barrels are hard to get unless you find a good used one. So my project moves along. This is an 18", 1/8 twist button barrel with Mid-length gas system, .750 gas block, 9/16x24 threading. My shopping list is now down to a bolt carrier, low-pro gas block and tube and a compensator. Ladson gun show this weekend, maybe I can find some sweet deals.

Got my IonBond BCG in today, really smooth. The carrier will go in the 6.5 and I'll put the bolt in my 5.56 and have a spare. I for a steal on an Alexander Arms compensator, new for 60% off and had to buy a crush washer from Rainier. Someone went in with me to buy several so we saved on shipping. My barrel is done and will ship in a couple weeks when the bolts are finished, hopefully sooner.

The 6.5 has caught my attention too.
Is the 6.5LBC the same as the 6.5 Grendel? Will the 7.62x39 bolt work in them?
Chris I'm looking forward to your barrel arriving and checking this thing out once you get it together.

Read this on the difference between the 6.5 Grendel and the .264 LBC. Seems line I read the 7.62x39 bolt will work but that there is a difference in the depth.

I believe the 6.5 can shoot out if a .264 barrel and vice versa. The neck and throat angle have very slight differences. I hope to get it together before I go to Texas for Christmas so I can take it out to my dads deer camp but bolt delays probably will prevent that.

My Alexander Arms compensator came in today. What a beast! Same diameter as the barrel so it will have smooth lines all the way to the tip. Here's a pic next to a standard A2 flash hider.

Going sideways with my upper receiver. I have a thicker slick-sided upper that is being machined into a side charging upper. It will look similar to this one below that is a .223 but cut a little different for the 6.5. Our barrels are done and the bolts are now being produced but retailers like Midway had orders in before our so they are getting theirs first. Looking at January now.

Anticipation is killing me!! My newly machined upper and bolt carrier are on the way back and the bolts and barrels are on the way to the coordinator of the group buy and are expected to ship out to all the buyers Friday or Saturday. My dad gave me a bipod for Christmas but it isn't a pivoting model. Should be fine though. Now just have to order the DuraCoat colors and find a decent optic I can afford. I had been looking at a variable power like a 4-14x or so but have also been reading about the 10x tactical models like the SWFA SS10X44, considering that option as well. Anyone else shoot fixed power on your long guns? I also got a new spotting scope from my father-in-law, this thing is awesome.

Felt like Christmas today, got my new barrel and bolt for my Grendel build and a Primary Arms Compact 3X scope for the dissapator rifle. I just need my upper receiver and bolt carrier to come in and I can start building. I really like Primary Arms scopes so I think I will put their 4-14x44 FFP scope on the Grendel. It Is definitely better to learn to build rather than buy. I've spent half of what it would take to buy a complete rifle.

18" Satern Liberty 5R button rifled barrels. Mid-length gas, 1/8 twist.

My upper receiver and bolt carrier arrived today, now the fun can begin. The walls on this DPMS upper are wicked thick. I'll try to get a rear view to show it. Action is pretty smooth.
