Just finished this 6.5 upper in time to go bust a whitetail in a couple weeks. Figured I would put it in the gunsmithing section because I initially had some issues that I'll share in case anyone else goes this route. It's a 20 in Lilja barrel with a rifle length gas system, JP adjustable gas block, Troy alpha rail which I had to Dremel out just a bit to allow access to the gas block adjustment as well as maintaining proper alignment of the rail. It's hooked up to a noveske upper with a rainier arm F/A carrier and a les baer 6.5 bolt. Stuck this on an old lower only swapping the H buffer for an H2 buffer. Gave it a test fire and I really wasn't gaining anything with the H2 buffer as I had to run the gas block wide open. So I switched to an H3 and was fat dumb and happy until I was halfway through a box of shells and had a slam fire. Back to the H2 and a wide open gas block..... All in all still very happy with it but would just buy a regular gas block if I was going to do it again. Shoots awesome put together a sub min group in 20-25 my wind with a five power scope Hornady 123gr sst ammo and very little effort. I would expect 1/2 inch groups with a little more patience or a better scope.
