When I ordered mine I had a commercial tube on my rifle and it worked fine. Maybe I got lucky, I don't know.

I installed on a rifle buffer. But compared to the standard A2 stock I had, the VLTOR had a little slop, which leads me to believe it would fit a commercial. I don't have any collapsible tubes around, so I can't check for sure.

To be honest, awesome looks aside, I shot a buddy's SBR with VLTOR EMod and TRX Extreme, and it was both comfortable and functional. My opinion hasn't changed getting the A2 stock.
Side note, if you put the QD swivel in one of the front mount sockets, does it swivel? Mine *will* but it contacts part of the stock.

I just traded the 13" for the 15" recently.
Yes the QD will swivel in the front, however, it tends to get in the way of my hand when I grab the pistol grip so I keep it on the rear mount.
