So I recently bought some 308 at the gunshow for my m1a, it was labeled 150gr Spanish 7.62x51. I hadnt shot it in my M1A until recently and I thought my gun was broken. I was shooting in my fiberglass stock that I bought as well so I thought it might have been that, but after changing it into the wood and trying it no change. The gun was short stroking, it would fire and eject the brass but would not feed the next round. So I decided it had to be the ammo. So I weighed the round compared to my hand loads. My load complete weighed in at 405.3 grain weight, the spanish stuff, 300.3gr. So I did some research and this is the Cetme CSP.-003 cal 7.62, it was designed for recoil operated full auto 308 rifles to control recoil. Its a 120gr projo with a faster burning powder to keep op pressure high. Its also corrosive primers. So if you see this and shoot and M1A, dont even bother. Im reduced to salvaging components.
