3 gun....shotgun question

Alright, by my previous posts and numerous question you probably can see that i am dipping my toe in the water (so to speak) of the 3 gun genre. I am getting familiar with the AR basics and after a lot of good input from the fellas on this forum, i am a little closer to the pond.
I have handguns of various cal. And feel that they would get me by in the handgun area.

I have an M2 benelli with a 24 in. Barrel and a mag tube extension that gives me a capacity of 8 rounds.
Question 1...........will this work???
Question. 2............what chokes work best? What choke do i need for slugs?
These are a couple of questions that come to mind right now , i am sure i'll have more.

I'd like to get my son involved with me in this sport so bear with me.

That gun will work dandy. Light mod will serve 95% of your needs well. Kurt did fine for years with one welded in his gun.

Does you gun hold 8+1 or 7+1?

Light modified choke or modified choke is the one Choke everyone should have.

As far as capacity goes, 8+1 is good 9+1 is better.

More chokes will give you more options. But a lot of people can get by with just one, either LM or IM could do it.
