3-Gun Nation $50,000 Shoot Off Sat. Oct.25th @ USSA , Tulsa OK

Just because someone remembers your name doesn't mean they arent a prick.

One time shooting with Jesse, I laid down what I though was an awesome run. He looked right at me and said "Jeez BURK you move like an old man getting out of a warm bath"

Good times

I think I'll refrain from making a request like that, being a nobody in the shooting world and a newcomer here, especially with my schedule being in flux for that weekend. If there is a shoot, I'll try hard to convince the wife to let me shoot at Lead Farm on the 25th and in Tulsa on the 26th. That would be amazing. Lots of trigger time on someone else's stage deigns, and the ability to shoot with competent 3 gunners at both places. Talk about good training for the Area 3 match.

Back on topic, I'm pulling for you to take the win, Jesse. But I'm also pulling for Miculek and any of the AMU boys. Okay, I'm really pulling for anyone but Garcia. I know my only visibility of that series is what's shown on the boob tube after editing and whatnot, but he seems like an arrogant dick. Then again, "it's not bragging or arrogance if you can do it". Maybe I just assume he's a douche because he's a cop, or maybe it's because I have to find someone to be jealous of and despise because I'll never be at that level because I spend too much time online typing about shooting and not enough time out there actually doing it and I have back hair and my life sucks so I need to take it out in my own cowardly way on someone while benefitting from the anonymity of the internet and....Nevermind. I'm pulling for anyone. I hope someone wins. I hate me.
so cops are douche bags?

Wow David, those are harsh words toward someone you've never met. I was a spectator at the last 3 Gun Nation event in Tulsa, and had the opportunity to watch the pro shooters, as well as visit with a few of them. Despite the fact that I'm new to this 3 gun game and an absolute nobody, Keith Garcia was extremely friendly, conversational, and helpful. I stood and talked to him 3 different times during the day and he offered advice on shooting the stages (as I was shooting them the next day), Insight on what the whole sport was about and how he approaches these matches. He made me feel welcome, and seemed to enjoy our conversation. As I was leaving he called me by name and wished me luck the next day (and this was after he had just gotten beat in the final shoot off). So, IMO, Keith Garcia is a stand up guy, and I am a fan.
It's a TV show. One of the reasons we watch is to love and hate characters on it. I know I have some of both.

Wait until next season. The show is going more the route if reality TV eliminations and will be introducing the audience to the competitors much more do you can pick those of us you love and those you love to hate. I'm excited! It should be a much more entertaining product for y'all.

Like every other job, some might be. But Keith Garcia, Greg Jorden, Bruce Piatt, Kuan Watson, Ting Sun, Lance Jensen, Di Lidorff, Mark Yackley, Nick Atkinson, Jacob Betsworth, and Chuck Anderson are all really great people and 3 Gunners and for sure not douches.

well stated jeff. I have met a few of the guys and gals on the pro series. all i can say is they have been very helpful and respectful. remember they are like all of us, they started somewhere at the bottom and moved up. i can honestly say none of them have ever been ' douches ' to me or anyone at the range for that matter that i seen.

Speaking as a former LEO, most cops that could be classified in such a manner would not be found at any kind of a match. Their ego would not stand up to that dose of reality.

hey since we are on the subject of LEO... i did a ride a long last week and we pulled up on a domestic violence call... first chick pees on herself, other chick craps on herself and then runs off down a storm water tunnel maze never to be seen again... you could call it a shitty escape but then again she got away... and added another warrant

Thanks! Who is Brian Betsworth?

Sorry, I guess my poor attempt at humor was lost online. I was attempting to play the part of a keyboard commando who was talking elephant dung about someone I've never met. That's why I added the rest of the comment afterward. I hope everyone brings their A game and makes it an amazingly close match. I don't really care who wins, as I watch the stuff with an appreciation for the skill it takes to perform at that level, not to live vicariously through the success and failure of others. That's why I don't watch other sports; I can't relate or understand what it takes to be a pro athlete in most other sports.

I apologize if anybody got irritated with my post, it was strictly an attempt at humor by poking fun at the same kind of keyboard commando, online Rambo idiots who talk elephant dung about any of the pros.

Calling cops douches is for sure ill attempted humor here.

A straight forward apology would probably be more appreciated than the rambling explaination you just gave.

A straightforward apology, huh? Well, I'm not much on internet flame wars, although I do like to twist nipples every once in a while on Youtube, but apologize for what? Calling cops douches? Any LEO knows most of his or her coworkers are only cops because they got picked on in school and want people to respect their authori-tah, just as I know most of my fellow soldiers are not nearly as competent and straight-laced as the general public believes. I'm an MP, I have trained with and worked with civilian, military, and Department of the Army cops, and most of them are not people I would really want to have backing me up in a fight. I'm not saying all cops are that way, but like any other profession, the truly good ones are the exception, not the rule.

And if you think that was rambling, I apologize. Try reading the last sentence.

Maybe it's just the shooting community, but the cops and military guys and gals I know are great people and in many cases actual heros. I named off a bunch of great cops above. I won't list all the military guys I admire, but I assure you guys like Eric Eckhart and James Gill don't talk about their brothers the way you do.

Sorry Burk, and yes a Team Stag shoot off would be awesome.

It's gonna be exciting. There's like 20 or so of those guys that have a real shot at winning.

It's also gonna be cool to see if Di can take Lena this time.

thanks Burk I think a lot of guys were about to blow this up. and we can only hope those two will be in the shoot off. have you been over to teach Jesse how to shoot the plate rack and RUN.

Joking or not, let's stop with the ill words towards those in uniform.
Like those guys or not, they put up with a ton of crap, and deal with the lowest forms of people on a daily basis in an attempt to keep you sleeping peacefully at night.

Like Burk said... back to the regular scheduled programming.
Kalani vs. Tischauser sounds like a good idea.
Edit: Looks like I got that in late.
