It was my first 3 gun match and I saw guys using longer barrels and tighter chokes who were failing to knock down the steel. I figured with a 20" cylinder bore shotgun, there was no way field load would work. 3" mags were all I had besides slugs and field loads in the ammo can at the time.

cool i understand and was right there with you last year, if you can afford it i would try to get an m2 and send it to someone ( i prefer AI) it will save you a lot of headache and really jump start your shotgun shooting...

Here's my first time running my new Stoeger M3000 at the January USSA match on the classifier stage. I'm old and slow, but the gun ran like a champ. I didn't have one problem with it all day, except for learning that just velcro won't hold a match saver on for very long.View attachment 9079
