3 Gun Match Videos

Stage 1 from the Generation III Gun Championship. Again an FTN on wide open standing still pistol paper. I thought both this mike and the Mike on stage 3 were iffy bit I didn't take a make up shot like an idiot. Either makeup shot would have given me the 4 points in needed fur a match win.

Here was the big 29 round shotgun with a little rifle to start things off.' I managed to win this one by 10%.

Stage 3 from the Generation III Gun Championship. Threw an FTN on the easy pistol paper. Classic case of not giving an easy target any respect. I even remember thinking that I had an iffy sight picture on that one but didn't make up the shot.

CKPS 3 Gun match from Ellsworth KS. This is the first time I have shot a match since the July 3GN club match in Tulsa. I have got to practice more and shoot more than one match a month if I ever want to get better. I can see skills slipping and my gut is growing.

3 Gun Nation Regionals. I sucked a big fat one at this match, but I am sharing my bad shooting with you all....if you have 10 minutes to spare. The long range stage I shot in a heavy rain. I had little to no sight picture through the scope. I was guessing where the flasher was only by the white cardboard that sits well above it. I learned a lot about myself and my shooting at this match.

My very first stage in a 3 gun match. I forgot to do a mandatory reload between the paper and steel rifle targets, I failed to engage two paper targets on the second stage (Not shown), and in this stage, I short-stroked the shotgun, causing the hull to get jammed into the ejection port. Watching the previous shooters, I saw some of them shoot at the shotgun steel and fail to knock it over with the first round, and I thought to myself; "Self, they're using long barrels with tighter chokes and aren't knocking them over, and here I am with this 20" cylinder bore Mossberg. I'm not so sure birdshot is going to work well." So I loaded up with 3" 15 pellet 00 Buck. The old guy at the very end is coming up to me and explaining the finer points of the match, such as "No shot size bigger than #6." Whoopsies.

Never heard of those guys? IDPA shooters maybe?

yep that bryan ray guy is a real tactical timmy... kept talking about how naked he felt without his vest on and doing flat footed reloads behind cover...

It figures that the only time I can remember short-shucking a shotgun is during a match. It was made rougher by the fact that that a fired 3" magnum hull is only slightly shorter than the ejection port to begin with.
