Hi, I was curious if you guys knew if the CZ 97b would be allowed in the heavy metal division, at most ranges. I originally purchased it hoping to compete in HM but recently read some official rules online that specified Single Stack Pistols only. I have seen division rules posted elsewhere that didn't specify that requirment. Thanks in advance!

Depending on match, you can use your pistol. Some heavy metal classes require .45 caliber pistol limited to 10 round mags. No restriction on what model of pistol you shoot. Rifle caliber is .30 caliber or larger sometimes with power factor requirement, .300 Blackout does not meet the power factor requirement.

I have yet to hear of let alone shoot a match the mandated the use of a 1911 for HM.

Stand corrected, I thought that was one of the original intentions of Heman and a difference between he man and heavy metal.
Thanks you two, especially Pat for taking time from his busy schedule to help.
