3 Gun Case for Flying

The case is about the same in regards to quality. The custom cut high density foam in the patriot case and the ability to fit a soft case inside is where the Patriot case wins.

I have a Brownells 3 gun case in the lid of mine. That's all I use the Brownells for is travel. I run a voodoo or whatever it is that looks just like a voodoo.

I just got my Patriot case in last week...was at ~44lbs with guns/mags/eye pro/ear pro/squib rob/mag brush/associated goodies. There's probably room for me to add some pistol/rifle ammo depending upon the round count for the match i plan to fly to.

Is 75 pounds the cut off weight at airlines? I need to know since it takes me more rounds to hit a single piece of steel at 10 yards than most other shooters.

50 lbs is the limit. They ususlly let you thru with 52. You don't want an Overweight bag. It costs a $75-150. As compared to an additional bag at $25-50.

That's the only place I'm aware of. Pretty small/young company. I'm guessing you'll talk to Brack the owner if you give them a call.

Jesse, would love to see some quick cell phone pix of how you set it up next time you get a chance.

I take it you break down the shotgun to fit, but just ball parking because you start with a 25-27lb case and your two guns are ~8 lbs that's already almost 42-44 lbs - add a pistol and your mags and what else can you usually fit in there? I know my soft 3-gun case weighs 8 lbs empty.... = 50-52lbs.

Do you always fly with ammo? Is that a separate case?

I take the 12rd tube off my gun and out a Nordic nut back on to keep the shotgun together. No usually get all 3-guns, a few pistol mags and my shotgun chokes in the case. I still have to packs lot of gear in my checked bag. I usually carry my shotgun caddy's in my carry on since they are plastic and could be smashed by my ammo or other geae in my suitcase.
