So i've been searching for just about a year, without any luck, for a 24 or 26" threaded 12 gauge barrel for my Benelli M1 S90 Tactical. Currently it has an 18" barrel which is ideal for HD and similar but i'd like to have a longer barrel in addition to it for hunting or skeet. I've looked at the websites everyone recommends and everywhere else others have recommended but found nothing. Everyone says i should just buy an M2 barrel and forend because they're easier to find. However, i'd like to find an M1 barrel so i'm not buying two things (barrel & forend) just to get what i need. Since there are a lot of 3-gunners and shotgunners on this website i'm hoping someone here can suggest some places for me to look that maybe i haven't tried yet. If you know somewhere i might be able to find the barrel i need please let me know. Thanks!

Midwest gun works usually has them but I don't see anything in stock currently.

There's a place out of Illinois that I've bought a bunch of parts from called perfetto performance. They sell everything on gun broker.

Here is a 28".

Here us the coveted 3 gun 21".

You could buy another used M1 with the desired barrel length for under $800. That's the route I would go.

Thats a tough one...buy a barrel for $544 or another shotgun with a longer barrel for $800+? Whats the consensus amongst you shotgun guru's?

Also which length barrel would you suggest for hunting (rabbit, quail, dove, pheasant) or skeet/trap? The 28" just feels too long for me. I have a Winchester semi-auto with a 28" barrel and it's just too long. That's why i was considering a 24" or 26"....do you think the 26" would have a noticiable improvement in performance over the 24"?

I suppose if I could find another Benelli with a longer barrel for a good price (preferably a FtF sale where i don't get hammered by taxes) i would go that route but they don't pop up much locally other than fully tricked out 3-gun models that are too expensive (too many goodies for shooting skeey lol). My current M1 was a former 3-Gun version that has all those upgrades already.

Also, have you guys used GunBroker? And, if so, how was your experience? Do you recommend using their service?

Thanks, Brandi

I have bought a few barrels over the past couple of years with the intention if swapping back and forth depending in the match. I wound up finding guns to go with those barrels because swapping barrels isn't fun but having two guns is. Kinda like buying multiple uppers for your AR lower.

Thats a valid point...i suppose i'll include an additional shotgun with a longer barrel into the search. I'll catch hell for buying another long gun though lol.

I've found 26 & 28" barrels for $200-250. So keep looking while your saving up. You might post a WTB ad in Brian Enos forum and AR15.com as the tactical and competitive cried usually gets rid of the long in favor of the short.
